Vand ke Chakna (sharing with others)

We find ourselves accumulating worldly possessions; however, Guru Nanak Dev Ji teaches us not to carry the burden of materialistic possessions with us. Instead, we should share.

3 Pillars of Sikhism:

Vand Ke Shakna

Vand chakna, one of the three main pillars of sikhism, given to us by Guru Nanak Dev Ji (founder of sikhism). It means to share the things you have and consume it as a community. Sikhs believe this encourages compassion and love.

Meaning: The one who earns his living by working hard for it, and shares his earnings, says Nanak, that person has recognized the way to live.

We should share what we have with others. Guru Sahib teaches us that we should be selfless and being greedy is not a path of a Sikh. A Sikh can connect with Waheguru (God) by being selfless and having compassion within themselves.

If there is no love within  us, then we cannot find Waheguru.
